The Web Architect ensures the consistency and efficiency of current web platforms while anticipating future needs. The role includes evaluating emerging technologies and preparing the organization for potential architectural evolutions, such as modular or composable approaches, aligned with business strategy. He/She guarantees that the web solutions (portals, websites, front-end applications, e-commerce, and customer interaction systems) meet business requirements, integrate with Pim, Dam, ERP, CRM, marketing automation and other sales networks solutions, and remain aligned with enterprise standards and digital strategy.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Strategy
• Define the architectural vision and roadmap for web platforms in alignment with the business and digital strategy.
• Ensure alignment of web architecture with the broader IT landscape, including CRM and sales channels.
• Contribute to digital innovation initiatives (new front-end frameworks, cloud-native services, microservices adoption).
• Monitor and assess emerging trends (e.g., composable commerce, MACH principles, advanced API-first integrations) and advise on their relevance to the organization.
• Develop scenarios and recommendations for potential architectural transformations, ensuring flexibility and scalability for future business requirements.
Delivery
• Design and validate the architecture of new web solutions, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Oversee solution design choices (front-end frameworks, CMS, integration patterns, APIs, hosting model).
• Support project teams during delivery and implementation phases by providing guidelines and reviewing key design documents.
• Ensure web solutions comply with enterprise security, accessibility, and UX standards.
• Coach Lead Developers and evangelize teams on web technologies
• Willingness to occasionally engage in coding and take leadership in resolving critical incidents, including reviewing code for architectural compliance, critical modules, or during critical incidents.
Collaboration
• Work closely with the Web development team, CRM experts, digital product owners, and sales network stakeholders.
• Coordinate with enterprise architects, devops, security officers, and infrastructure teams to ensure consistency across systems.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on the feasibility and sustainability of web solutions.
Governance
• Define and enforce web architecture principles, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in architecture review boards and validate solution architecture decisions.
• Contribute to technology selection processes (tools, frameworks, hosting providers).
Technology and innovation
• Monitor and evaluate new technologies, emerging trends in web architecture (headless CMS, Composable micro frontends, API-first design, cloud-native web hosting).
• Propose innovative solutions to improve customer experience and optimize digital platforms.
• Promote reusability, modular design, and the use of enterprise platforms across projects.
• Monitor quality of the platform and manage remediation plans: bug tracking, technical debt, performance, scalability, reliability
• Ensure the quality of development by challenging the development strategies, ensuring the implementation of rigorous testing and validation procedures.
