Product Owner

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Product Owner:

Level: Medior/Senior

Type of employment: Full time

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Model of work: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

They are building an iGaming platform that includes online casino, sportsbook, payments, wallet, bonus/risk/compliance functionality, back-office tools and multiple third-party provider integrations. The Product Owner will help translate business needs into clear product requirements, support stakeholder alignment and work closely with design, engineering, QA, and delivery teams to ensure the business requirements are understood and met.

Key Job Responsibilities:

The Product Owner will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and translating business requirements into clear product documentation, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and development-ready Jira tickets. They will work closely with stakeholders, design, engineering, QA and delivery management to clarify scope, define priorities, support refinement, validate delivered features and ensure that product development aligns with business goals.

Key responsibilities include managing the product backlog, preparing requirements for sprint planning, identifying dependencies and edge cases, supporting feature discovery, coordinating stakeholder feedback and ensuring that all requirements are clearly communicated before development starts. The Product Owner is expected to take ownership of product clarity, requirement quality and business value while collaborating with the Tech Lead on technical feasibility and the Delivery Manager on planning, process and predictable delivery.

If you are someone who has:

                                                                                               Must:

• Experience in iGaming, Online Casino & Sports Betting
• Several years of experience leading product requirements, product management, working with software development teams
• Strong experience working with Jira or similar project management tools, including backlog management, epic and user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, refinement preparation and sprint planning support
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating directly with backend, frontend, QA, design, DevOps and delivery teams
• English: Fluent (C1-C2), additional languages are considered an advantage

                                                                                        Nice to have:

• Experience with licensed or regulated iGaming markets
• Understanding of standard industry practices related to player protection, responsible gambling, KYC/AML, fraud prevention, bonus abuse prevention, payment compliance and auditability
• Knowledge of how online casino and sportsbook products operate across different jurisdictions, including regulatory requirements, reporting obligations, player limits, self-exclusion, verification flows and compliance-driven product constraints, would be a strong advantage
• Experience with affiliate tracking platforms.
