The Opportunity:
Our client is a Serbian company with Scandinavian roots, active in the development and management of high-end hospitality and real estate projects. With a commitment to quality, sustainability, and guest-centered experiences, the company is currently launching a premium resort near Novi Sad—designed to offer a unique blend of nature, comfort, and contemporary design.
The resort will feature modern accommodation units, wellness and spa facilities, and a range of recreational amenities aimed at both domestic and international guests. The project reflects the company's long-term vision of creating lifestyle destinations that stand out through thoughtful design and exceptional service.
We’re now looking to build a strong leadership team for the resort’s opening and long-term operations. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily operations of the resort, ensuring smooth and efficient service across departments
- Lead the pre-opening phase, including team setup, operational planning, and soft launch execution
- Hire, train, and manage resort staff, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality
- Ensure exceptional guest experience by maintaining high service standards and attention to detail
- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to support resort positioning and drive bookings
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and operational standards
- Maintain clear communication with ownership and provide regular operational and financial updates
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction
If you are someone who has:
Must:
- Experience in hospitality, with at least 3–5 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role
- Proven track record of managing resort or hotel operations, preferably in a 4- or 5-star environment
- Strong understanding of guest experience, service excellence, and operational standards
- Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and P&L responsibility
- Hands-on leadership style with excellent team management and communication skills
- Availability to be based near or commute regularly to the Novi Sad region
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Tourism, Communications, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Nice to have:
- Proactive mindset and attention to detail
- Background in wellness/spa, eco-tourism, or lifestyle hospitality concepts
- Experience in working with or for Scandinavian or international hospitality brands
- Familiarity with digital booking systems, property management software (PMS), and modern guest technologies
- Ability to multitask and work independently
