Full Stack Software Engineer – JavaScript / TypeScript

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a  Full Stack Software Engineer – JavaScript / TypeScript:

Level: medior/senior

Location: In Office, Novi Sad, Serbia (remote from time to time, according to agreement)

Model of work: Full-time | Permanent Contract

The Opportunity: 

Our client, based in Novi Sad, develops and maintains web-based projects for clients worldwide, with a focus on the North American and Western European markets.

The team is small, technically focused and directly involved in project development. The team’s size and the variety of projects give developers the opportunity to work with different technologies, tackle a range of technical challenges and occasionally move between projects, avoiding the monotony of working on a single product for an extended period.

We are looking for an ambitious Full Stack Software Engineer with at least 3 years of professional experience in web application development, primarily focused on JavaScript / TypeScript, React and Node.js. You will work on live projects with real users, many of which are in the early stages of development or actively evolving. These projects cover a broad range of tasks from maintaining existing systems and improving visual design to building new features from scratch and resolving complex production issues. Depending on the project, you may work on full stack development, microservices architectures, communication and data transfer optimization, database structure, application performance and other challenges typical of modern production web environments.

With a small development team, you will have opportunities to work across multiple projects and gain exposure to different technologies, architectures and approaches to software development.

                                                                                    Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in web/software development
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of React
• Strong knowledge of Node.js, with experience using NestJS or Express
• A solid understanding of web development and programming concepts
• Experience in full stack web application development
• The ability to solve technical problems independently
• An understanding of the fundamental principles of software quality and architecture
• Experience with Git
• Basic to solid knowledge of Docker, Bash, and Linux/Ubuntu environments
• A good knowledge of English language
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
• Willingness to work across different projects and technologies
• Openness to using AI tools in the day-to-day development process
